OUR TEAM

Here for you.  We, as the Jeff Bender Professional Corporation (JBPC) team, are not just interested in accounting and taxes —we are interested in you.  Our goal is to provide the kind of personable service that shows you that you aren’t just another number, but a valued client.

Whether you are an entrepreneur in small business or an individual requiring personal tax services, our desire is to eliminate your tax and accounting stress through “down to earth” explanations and teaching, competent work that we stand behind with integrity, and of course, a bit of Jeff’s dry sense of humour thrown in to keep things interesting. We began in 2011 as a husband-and-wife team, working out of our home-based office for many years. As we have continued to expand and grow our team, we recently moved our main office to a new easily accessible location in south-central Edmonton.

We want you to feel like we’ve got your back and are here for you with caring support for all your tax and business accounting needs.

Meet Jeff

Jeff received his CA/CPA designation in 2004 and had worked in several private and public companies before branching out to start his own accounting firm.

He stays current with the Canadian tax and accounting changes, regular investing in upgrading skills and knowledge every year. His experience working in various industries enables him to relate well to the entrepreneurs that he works with.  Clients appreciate Jeff’s easily understandable teaching manner mixed in with a dose of humour.

As a farm boy living in the city, Jeff enjoys renovation projects, going for jogs on the river valley trails close to home, hunting and canoe trips, as well as volunteering at church in mentorship areas.

Meet Jeffrey

After moving to Beaumont in August of 2023, Jeffrey (Jeff) set out to find a local firm that would align with his 30 plus years of public practice experience.

Jeff has been a CA/CPA since 1995 and, having spent his entire career in southern Alberta cheering for the Flames, Jeff was eager to fire up the Battle of Alberta in the Edmonton area.

Jeff loves to work with owner managed businesses and relates well with business owners looking to plan for retirement or those start up dreamers who have the desire and vision to seek out new opportunities.  Jeff has many years of experience with large and small retail, agriculture, oil and gas service, a variety of trades, professional services and the list goes on.

Outside the office, Jeff enjoys travelling to sandy beaches and outdoor concerts with his wife Terri and long walks at the dog park with their fur baby Chloe.  Jeff has a passion for life, infectious laugh and a willing spirit that helps to serve his clients well.  We are a growing firm and Jeff would love to hear from you so don’t hesitate to give him a call.
